volunteers helped to serve food and drinks, as well as helping to clean
up after the event. The Carnivale was a huge success, achieving the
second highest ever net profit. Many of the volunteers stayed after
their voluntary shifts ended to dance the night away! Thank you to all
our volunteers: Abbie Bush, Shawn Bush, Carl Chandler, Brittany
Cleland, Nida Farooq, Umar Farooq, Heather Gipson, Anne Marshall, Gray
Marshall, Jenifer Slabaugh, Josh White, Cheryl Wright, and Paul Wright.
CANstruction
CANstruction was a huge success, with 6 teams building some amazing
structures. The event, taking place from February 18 to 25, raised more
than 11,000 cans of food, before the public donations were even counted.
This year's teams were United Way of Bartholomew County, Toyota
Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, Starving Artists, Columbus Sunrise
Rotary Club, Columbus East Senior Jasmine Santos, and Cummins Inc. In
addition to co-sponsoring the event, CYP had
four volunteers who patrolled the mall and helped answer questions about
the event. Thank you to our volunteers: Kelly Baker, Heather Gipson,
